Difference between Cash or Nothing and Asset or Nothing Binary Options
We all know that binary options are also known as “All or Nothing” options simply because these options have only two possible outcomes namely “All” or “Nothing”. The reward that one gets upon the successful binary option trade could be in the form of cash or asset. This is one way of classifying the Binary options – “Cash or Nothing” binary options and the “Asset or Nothing” binary options. When you are in the money and rewarded by way of cash it is a “Cash or Nothing” binary option. On the other hand, if the reward is in the form of an asset of the underlying security it is called an “Asset or Nothing” binary option.
There are no technical differences between these two types of binary options. The evaluation criteria are the same to determine whether you are in the money or out of the money. All the other parameters namely the contract price, strike price and the expiration date are same in these two types of binary options. Yet, the study of empirical data seems to suggest that the Cash or Nothing option is usually the preferred binary option for traders.
Irrespective of whether you trade the “Cash or Nothing Option” or the “Asset or Nothing Option”, the significant advantages it brings to the table make these options the preferred vehicle for speculation. Therefore, you should not mind whether the reward is in cash or any asset as long as the rewards keep coming.
